I rock my onesie!

I sent Elijah to his room to get some pj's after his bath last night. He came back with a giant 3T onesie. I didn't even know they made them that big! I guess so since it was in his pj drawer!! He loves it! After making sure he knew how to "get free" to use the bathroom we were good to go.

I wanted to get a picture...

Then he wanted to get a picture...

Sunday morning I stayed home from church because I've been sick. After they got home from church and we had a very fancy Sunday lunch of mac and cheese and leftovers Beau put Sadie down for a nap and I got Elijah set up with a movie so I could go lay down.
Just a boy, his popcorn and Jungle Book...

Tomorrow will be another day of working on the new house. More later...

Sweet, sweet girl...

My girl is the best baby girl in the whole world!! I know, I know, I'm biased, but seriously. She. Is. Precious. I got this dress at a shower and I love it. Its a blue linen dress. I loved it when I got it, but it was size 9 months. I was upset because I thought she'd never get to wear it. However, last Sunday was just warm enough (with a light sweater) to wear it. Blue is really her color and it is just a sweet dress.

Sorry the pic is fuzzy...

So cute!!

She is also a bit of a mess! She tackles her brother, tries to wrestle with anything laying on the ground, can walk but won't, is a flirt, and is IN LOVE with her Papa!

She will be 1 in 2 weeks and I cannot believe it.
There's a long post below...don't miss it.

Alvin Livin'

Last Sunday we came home from church, ate lunch, loaded the car and headed to Alvin for a few days. Gary, Grant, Bibby and Jan were on Spring Break and John took off. It was a great few days of being spoiled by the Spencers! We were having so much fun I didn't take too many pictures, but here are a few...

Discussing what they're going to play...

Playing a beautiful masterpiece...

Tuesday afternoon we got a few of our old game night girlfriends together (Jennifer and Melissa). All of the couples in our old game night group now have kids, none did when we first started game night (some of them weren't even married). Anyway, we had a great time. Loud, but great. 4 moms, 7 kids. Let's start the countdown...

Grant (2 in a few weeks) and Elijah (3 1/2). {and Elijah only likes to make silly faces in pics now}...

Madeleine (Maddie age 2, 3 in June). She is such a little lady...

Sadie, 1 year in a few weeks...

Presley, 9 months...

Gianna, 6 months...

Grayson, 3 months...

These two got along great...

But playgroup proved too much for Gianna...

Wow!!!

The boys playing piano for us while we ate breakfast Wednesday morning...

Teamwork...

We had a GREAT time! We left for home after breakfast on Wednesday night. When we got home Beau went straight to the office. Sadie went down for a nap, Elijah went outside to play, I did 5 loads of laundry, folded and put them away, made 2 loaves of quickbread, straightened the house and packed bags and lunches for Thursday. It was very productive.
We got the house last week and have been working on it every single day we've been home. It is a totally different house than when we got it. I want to show you before pics, but I am going to wait until I have some "afters" to show it to you. We have painted the kids rooms, painted the living room, entry, and hallway, put down wood floors, taken down wallpaper in a bathroom and kitchen, re-textured two bathrooms and the kitchen and taken down countless mini blinds and vertical blinds. There is still SO much to do. This week I'm going to have to focus on cleaning and packing since we'll be moving in this weekend. I also have to do Sadie's birthday invitations. So much to do, so little time!!

March (Zoo) Madness

I called my friend, Jessica, this morning to see if she wanted to take her kids to the zoo with me and mine. It was supposed to be a fabulous day and so she said yes. Well apparently everyone else in town had the same idea.

While the kids and I waited for Jessica (she was 45 minutes late, but she's got like 12 kids and one of them is new so I gave her a pass) we took some pics.

So...neither of my kids can fake a smile when the sun's in their eyes...
Elijah specifically picked out this shirt for the zoo. They have a fish tank with all the "Nemo" fish. He thinks it so cool.

My girl looked so cute today!! I cannot get her to smile, but she looks great anyway...

She's so precious...

He would not let me take a picture so I just took one of him people watching...

Elijah going down the slide...

Ben going down the slide...

That is not a lizard Elijah and Robert are looking at, its a tiny little monkey...

I just had to get a picture of Robert. He was decked out in cammo and had his binoculars and rifle slung over his shoulder. Every now and then he would take aim at an animal. I told Jessica I didn't think it was fair to hunt animals that are in cages, she just rolled her eyes. Ha!...

All the "big kids" climbing the hill. From L to R...Linzie 7, Ben 2, Robert 5, Elijah 3. Not pictured: Sadie 1, Will 3 mos. Wow that's a lot of kids!!!

Walking around looking at the fish...

Running around acting like Indians...

Elijah kept walking like this. I asked him what he was doing he said he was being a bear...

We had a great day!!

Birthday Bonanza

This was a great day and it "ended" a great week. I know Sunday technically starts a week, but I think of it more as a wrap up day. Anyway, we'll go back to last Tuesday to chronicle the week.

Tuesday I took Sadie back to the doctor to check her ears since we finished the antibiotics the Thursday before. As I guessed, we still had an infection in one ear and fluid (though un-infected so far) behind the other ear. We got put on another round on antibiotics. If this round doesn't clear it up she's getting tubes put in.

She would lay in my lap and have me feed her Alphabits...

Tuesday night we went out for my birthday to an Italian food place we hadn't been to yet. A picture with my boy (and his pizza face)...

Then he wanted to do a silly face picture...

Beau and and un-enthused Sadie...

Then we stopped by a yogurt place. The boys shared...

I shared with Sadie. She was getting pretty tired and glass-eyed...
But she perked up after tasting the ice cream.

Wednesday the kids and I went to Ladies' Bible Class. After class Beau took the kids and I got to go to lunch with all the ladies at Olive Garden by. my. self.!!! It was superb! We went to church that night. This was my attempt at a picture with both kids at the same time...

Sadie's hair is long enough now to have a bow!! I love it. Beau thinks she looks too much like Pebbles.
Beau got me 2...Count 'em...2...gift cards for a 1 hour massages to The Spa at Canyon Oaks!!

Thursday I worked. Friday morning I had a few hours to myself. I started off at Starbucks with a Chai Latte, went to Ann Taylor Loft for my present to myself...some new pants that actually fit!! Friday afternoon we drove to Stephenville. We had dinner with some old family friends.
Saturday morning we woke up and had a big breakfast. I caught Beau reading Cinderella to Brooklyn and Sadie. It was too cute. By the time I took the picture, though, Sadie wanted me to take her...

After breakfast my mom and I went to pick out some paint colors for the new house. When we got home we found this...Sadie playing by herself in the living room and...
watching Oh Brother Where Art Thou.

We had a late lunch of hamburgers and I had a recipe from Martha Stewart that I wanted to have for my birthday. Well, with everything going on I ended up pretty much making it myself. My mom said it means I'm really a mom now...having to make my own birthday cake...

Katy and Sadie waiting for cake...

We came back Saturday night. After church today we went to lunch at a Chinese place. They had a lunch buffet and one part of it was all sushi! It was so good!! They also had Tiramisu on the dessert line! Strange combination, I know, but oh so good! We came home and all took naps. Beau and I woke up around 4 and ended up having to wake up both kids. We spent the evening playing, having dinner and cleaning up before bedtime. Its been a great day and a great week.
This week will be busy. We are supposed to close on the house on Thursday and start working on it on Friday! Then off to Alvin on Sunday! More later.

This house is not my home...

Don't get me wrong, we live in a very nice little duplex. The only thing is, its small. When we moved here we downsized our living space and had added a child. We are very blessed to be able to afford a nice place to live, so I am, in no way, trying to sound ungrateful.

I am so tired of making Elijah be quiet while Sadie's napping and trying to make Sadie be quiet while Elijah's napping and trying to watch a movie with Beau while the kids are in bed ("Turn it up...turn it down...turn it up...turn it down..."). You can't run the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, wash dishes, or run any appliance in the kitchen while some one is trying to watch tv or have a conversation.

I LOVED our first house. Some one told me the other day I will never love another house like that one, not because of anything to do with the house, but because I had my babies there. I responded with the fact that I should love our next house too because I'll hopefully have more kids in it. Anyway, back to our first home. It was a great first house. Huge kitchen, great living room, and a great backyard.

We've learned recently that the girl living there now (she's been renting it until we close on it tomorrow) has not taken care of it, the yard anyways. Its really sad because of all the hard work (and money) we put into it.

We should have our "new" house in a few weeks. Now, I am super excited about this house. Not because its cute. Its not. Not because its new. Its not. Not because its not going to need a TON of work. It is. But because its huge. For us. We will be doubling our living space and increasing our yard space by about 8 times! That is enough to be excited about.

Sorry, no pictures. I will try to get some soon. Tomorrow is Sadie's check up for her ears and I'm afraid they're going to say they're still infected.

Our Menu this week is not much:
Monday: Slow cooker chicken cacciatore. No recipe. It was a jar of sauce poured over some chicken and put in the crockpot, served over rice with green beans and corn.
Tuesday: Going out for my birthday.
Wednesday: Jambalaya and Frenchbread
Thursday: Leftovers (I work)
Friday - Saturday: Going to Stephenville for my birthday.
